Our History

Imaging Associates of Indiana was founded as Lafayette Radiology in October of 2004 and was borne from the evolving local healthcare system. In its initial year, Lafayette Radiology was selected by St. Elizabeth Regional Health to provide professional radiology services and to assist in the strategic planning of a new hospital facility equipped with state-of-the-art radiology equipment and infrastructure.

Imaging Associates of Indiana is led by the Medical Director, Bob Mehl, M.D. Dr. Mehl has been with the group since its inception and continues to provide leadership while moving toward a more technologically advanced facility.

To date there are 8 radiologists who are multi-specialty trained or sub-specialized. All radiologists are board certified or eligible for certification.

The accomplishments of Imaging Associates of Indiana include the implementation of a PACS system for filmless digital imaging, installation of a state-of-the-art 64 slice CT scanner for cardiac and emergency room reads, and a digital multi-purpose lab.
